COVID-19: 2,141 people recovered, 39 people died in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 1,768 people across the country in 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the health system have performed 7,711 RT-PCR and 4,773 antigen tests.

A total of 2,607 people were confirmed infected with RT-PCR and antigen tests, the ministry said. At the same time, the number of Covid-19 appearing in RT-PCR tests in Nepal has reached 615,984.

Similarly, 2,141 coronavirus infected have been recovered in 24 hours. Likewise, the number of people recovering from coronavirus infection has reached 545,662.

According to the ministry, another 39 people have died across the country in 24 hours. With this, the number of deaths from Covid infection in Nepal has reached 8,597. Likewise, 915 people have been admitted in ICUs and 249 in ventilators across the country.

57,531 Covid infected people are in home isolation while 4,194 in institutional isolation.

A total of 2,471,388 people so far received first dose of vaccine while 691,494 have received second dose, the ministry says.

In Kathmandu district, there remain 7,135 active cases while in Bhaktapur 2,308 and Lalitpur district as 3,071.
