KATHMANDU: A total of 264 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country in the past 24 hours.
This was confirmed in the 12,566 tests conducted during the same period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Likewise, 260 recovered in a day which puts the recovery tally at 811,265. The recovery rate stands at 98 per cent, the Ministry said.
Meanwhile, two people succumbed to the deadly infection in a day, putting the death toll from the flu-like infection to 11,588 as of now. The case fatality rate is 1.4 per cent.
The Ministry shared that there are currently 4,190 active cases in the country.
Also today, 283,265 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, shared the Ministry.
