COVID-19: 3,082 recovered in 24 hours, 52 more died



KATHMANDU: A total of 3,082 coronavirus cases have been recovered across the country in 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Population said on Wednesday that 3,082 people had been discharged from different districts. Along with this, the number of COVID-19 recovered people in Nepal has reached 543,521.

Similarly, additional 2,014 people have been confirmed with COVID-19 across the country in 24 hours. According to the ministry, the health system has performed 8,687 RT-PCR tests and 4,335 antigen tests.

According to the ministry, another 52 people have lost their lives across the country. With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in Nepal has reached 8,558.

Among the dead, 4,585 people belong to 60 and above year age group. Similarly, 1681 are from 50-59, 1252 from 40-49, 715 from 30-39, 246 from 20-29, 41 from 10-19 and 38 from 0-9 years of age group, the ministry says.

There are still 902 COVID-19 patients in ICUs and 279 in ventilators across the country. A total of 57,826 people with COVID-19 infection have been staying at home isolation and 4,311 in institutional isolation.

Likewise, a total of 2,461,925 people received first dose of COVID vaccine while 691,494 have received second dose.

Meanwhile, Prime Life Care International Pvt. Ltd. has handed over different medical supplies to the Ministry of Health and Population today. The materials include 20,000 KN95 masks, 5,000 N95 masks, 500 protective glass and 500 infrared thermometer.

The Ministry of Health has set up hotline and mobile numbers to contact for the support. People with symptoms of COVID-19 are requested to contact the hotline 1133 or mobile number 9851255839, 9851255837 for inquiries, the ministry says.
