COVID-19: 3,637 new cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: A total of 3,637 new cases were reported from all over the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The new cases were confirmed through 11,582 antigen and PCR tests conducted in various laboratories during the same period.

Similarly, 7,555 infected ones enjoyed full recovery in the past 24 hours, taking the recovery caseload to 878,720 till date.

The recovery rate is 91.6 per cent. Likewise, 12 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the infection in a day.

With this, 11,764 people so far have died due to Coronavirus infection so far.

The case fatality rate stands at 1.3 per cent, the Ministry said. Meanwhile, 815,796 people were vaccinated today alone, one of the highest so far in a single day.

Currently, there are 69,287 active cases in the country, shared the Ministry. —
