COVID-19: Additional 2,745 people infected, 41 die in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, an additional 2,745 people have been confirmed infected with the coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the health system performed 7,449 RT-PCR tests and 5,841 antigen tests.

In the last 24 hours, 41 people have lost their life due to the infection. The death toll so far reached to 8,506.

The number of those recovered from COVID-19 infection reached to 4,187. The number of patients admitted to ICUs and ventilators have significantly reduced. Now, a total of 967 people have been admitted in ICUs and 285 in ventilators.

Likewise, a total of 58,868 people have remained in home isolation and 4,389 in institutional isolation.

The ministry says, a total of 2,438,127 people have received first dose of vaccine while 691,494 have received second dose.

Meanwhile, UNICEF, Nepal has handed over 500 oxygen concentrators to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Likewise, Gradian Health Systems in collaboration with America Nepal Medical Foundation and National Innovation Center Nepal handed over 50 set of ventilators to the Ministry.
