COVID-19: Another 7,448 people infected, 37 lost their lives in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, an additional 7,448 people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the infection was confirmed in 7,448 people through 17,158 tests.

In the last 24 hours, 37 people have died from coronavirus infection. The number of people who have been recovered in the last 24 hours is 2,021.

A total of 343,418 have so far contracted by COVID-19 in Nepal. Out of which active infection remain in 54,041 people. Of the active infected, 50,172 are in home isolation and 3,869 are in institutional isolation.

Of those infected, 578 are in ICU and 142 are on ventilator.

In the last 24 hours, 2,922 corona infections have been found in Kathmandu Valley, 222 in Bhaktapur and 522 in Lalitpur. One thousand 181 of them are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The total number of deaths due to coronavirus infection in Nepal has reached 3,362.
