COVID-19: Country records 3,703 new cases, 41 died in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 3,703 people across the country in 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 12,204 RT-PCR tests conducted in different districts on Tuesday confirmed corona in 3,703 people. Similarly, 4,709 antigen tests showed COVID-19 infection in 819 people.

A total of 4,522 people were confirmed infected with RT-PCR and antigen tests, the ministry said. Likewise, the number of coronavirus appearing in RT-PCR tests in Nepal has reached 626,343.

Similarly, 4,954 corona infected people have recovered or discharged from hospitals in 24 hours. The number of people recovering from COVID-19 infection has reached 564,882.

According to the ministry, 41 more people have died across the country. The number of deaths from COVID-19 infection in Nepal has reached 8,813.

A total of 49,425 people have been staying at home isolation while 3,223 in institutional isolation. Out of which, 761 in ICUs and 218 in ventilators. The ministry says, the number of people in isolation, ICUs and ventilators have significantly reduced in recent days.
