COVID-19 Crises: 3122 people infected in 24 hours, 28 people died



KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 3,122 more people in Nepal.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, said that 9,292 RT-PCR and 786 antigens were tested. The PCR test confirmed the infection in 3,032 people and the antigen method confirmed the infection in 90 people.

Similarly, 96 cases have been confirmed in Bhaktapur, 270 in Lalitpur and 1,132 in Kathmandu.

According to the ministry, there are currently 252 ICUs and 65 ventilators across the country. The corona-free rate across the country is 92.5 percent.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 28 people died with COVID-19 infection. This brings the total death as 3164. There are 19,382 active cases.

In the Kathmandu valley, currently 554 people are in isolation, 82 in ICU and 40 in ventilators. They are admitted in different public and private hospitals.
