NEPALGUNJ: Eight more people have died of coronavirus infection in Banke in a single day. According to Bheri Hospital, six people from Banke and one each from Kailali and Bardiya have died.
According to reports, a 58-year-old man of Nepalgunj-13 of Banke and a 43-year-old woman of Kohalpur Municipality-11 died while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur.
The 58-year-old man was admitted to the hospital the next day after being diagnosed with coronavirus infection. He died at 8:55 pm on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.
A 67-year-old woman of Khajura-2 Banke died at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj this morning. She was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with coronavirus infection.
Similarly, a 43-year-old woman was diagnosed with the infection on Wednesday and died at 9 pm on the same day. A 43-year-old man of Lamkichuha Municipality-1 of Kailali also died at Bheri Hospital at 7.50 this morning.
With his death, the death toll from coronavirus to Banke has reached 107.
A 60-year-old man of Nepalgunj-14, a 42-year-old man of Nepalgunj-9, a 55-year-old man of Nepalgunj-5 and a 32-year-old man of Badaiyatal-8 of Bardiya died while undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital.
Nepalgunj and surrounding area have been put into strict lockdown after found rising number of COVID cases.
