CPN UML expels leader Rawal, action against Binda, Usha Kiran

Bhaktapur, Dec 25: The CPN UML has expelled leader Bhim Rawal from the party. The secretariat meeting of the party held at party office, Chyasal, Lalitpur removed the central advisor of the party, Rawal, from the party, according to deputy general secretary, Pradip Gwayali.

Gyawali reasoned that Rawal was removed from the party as its organization member because the latter failed to play the role of advisor.

“Rawal was requested to become the vice chairman of the party in 10th general convention, but he did not accept it. Rather, he fielded himself as the party chair. Then he ignored being the party member, so he was adjusted as advisor as per party rule,” deputy general secretary Gwayali explained, adding that he did not contribute to party as advisor, rather weakened party continuously with his expression that resulted into this decision.

Leader Pande, central member Timilsena relieved of responsibilities. Similarly, the UML decided to relieve standing committee member Binda Pande and central member Usha Kiran Timilsena of their responsibilities for six months.

They were relieved of the responsibilities because they did not furnish proper justification sought after over their comments relating to construction of party office building. They did not admit that they flouted party norms and statute while speaking on party decision, he added.

Leader Pande and central member Timilsena were reminded that they did not follow the procedural manner to comment on construction of party office building, Gyawali shared. #nepal #cpnuml
