Kathmandu, Jan 7: The CPN (UML) has finalized its candidates for the upcoming National Assembly election.
The party has decided to field Roshani Meche from Koshi Province, Dr Prem Kumar Dangal from Bagmati Province, Smarika Devkota from Gandaki Province, Ram Kumari Jhakri from Lumbini Province, Meena Rakhal from Karnali Province, and Leela Kumari Bhandari from Sudurpaschim Province.
Candidate nominations for the National Assembly election are being filed nationwide on Monday. The Election Commission has scheduled the National Assembly election for January 25 (Magh 11).
According to party sources, the CPN UML, Nepali Congress, Nepali Communist Party and Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal have decided to contest election on the basis of their strength.
The voters include member of parliament, provincial national assembly members, chief and deputy chiefs of local bodies on the basis of weightage.
The election will be held to fill 18 vacant seats in the National Assembly. #nepal #uml
