Kathmandu, June 26: The CPN-UML has lifted the suspension of Standing Committee member Binda Pandey and Central Committee member Ushakiran Timilsina.

According to Party Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, the decision was made during the Central Secretariat meeting held on Wednesday at the party office in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

Pandey and Timilsina had previously been suspended for six months after publicly criticizing the party’s decision to accept 10 ropanis of land as a donation from Min Bahadur Gurung, the owner of Bhatbhateni Department Store, for the construction of party head office. They expressed their dissent through posts on social media.

Gyawali also informed that the meeting decided to hold the upcoming Statute General Convention in Godavari. In preparation for the convention, a Central Committee meeting has been scheduled for Shrawan 5 (around mid-July) in Kathmandu. #nepal #cpnuml #gyawali
