CPN UML Vice Chair Subash Nembang passes away



Kathmandu, Sept 12: The Chairman of the Constituent Assembly and former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang passed away. UML chief whip Padam Giri informed that Nembang died after suffering a heart attack at his residence in Baluwatar.

He was rushed to the TU Teaching Hospital. Now his body is in the university teaching hospital. After the news of his death, UML leaders reached the teaching hospital. Nembang, who is also the Vice Chairman of UML, was the Chair of the Constituent Assembly in both 2064 and 2070 BS. He is currently an elected Member of Parliament from Ilam-2.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and other leaders have now reached the TU Teaching Hospital.

Personal Secretary Krishna Prasad Kafle said that Nembang, who was resting at home due to a common cold, was taken to the hospital at 1:30 pm for treatment after suffering a heart attack.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina and other party leaders reached the hospital to get information about him.

Lawyers and rights activist by profession, Nembang was born on Falgun 28, 2009BS.
