KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN (Unified Socialist) submitted the name of leaders to the Prime Minister for their ministerial nomination.
Prior to this, the party’s secretariat meeting had decided to replace the current ministers with the new ones.
Chairperson of CPN (US) Madhav Kumar Nepal provided the name of leaders for their ministerial berths by meeting Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba this evening, secretary of CPN (US)’s central publicity department Prakash Khatiwada said.
The party has recommended Metmani Chaudhary as the Minister for Urban Development, Bhawani Khapung as Health and Population, Jibanram Shrestha as the Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Sher Bahadur Kunwar as the Labour, Employment and Social Security.
Likewise, Hirachandra KC is recommended for the Minister of State for Health and Population.
Currently, Khapung is the State Minister for Health and Population. The party has recalled Ram Kumar Jhankri, Birodh Khatiwada, Krishna Kumar Shrestha and Prem Ale from their responsibility as the ministers.
The CPN (US) said the party recalled the party’s leaders as ministers from the cabinet since they completed their tenure of six months as agreed in the past.
