Chitwan, Oct 24 : Another dengue infected patient has died earlier this week in the district. With this, the death toll has reached three in Chitwan this season.
Health Office, Chitwan confirmed the death of a 31-year-old woman from Gaindakot, East Nawalparasi, who was receiving treatment for the mosquito-borne disease at Chitwan Medical College.
According to the Chief at the Health Office, Deepak Tiwari, she died on Monday, October 21.
Out of 13,877 people who took a test for dengue in the district, 4,280 have been tested positive till date.
However, the transmission, which had become highly prevalent during the beginning of September, is gradually on a decreasing trend.
