Details of 290,000 collected for National Identity Card

Biratnagar: Details of 290,000 people have been collected in Morang district for National Identity Card (NID). From last November, the collection of details was started in 17 municipalities including one metropolis here.

Sharad Kumar Pokharel, Assistant Chief District Officer of Morang, informed that the work of collecting details for national identity card has been completed in all municipalities except Belbari, Sundarharaincha, Budhiganga and Biratnagar Metropolitan City. According to him, details of 9.6 lakhs have been collected from 35 districts across the country.

Chief District Officer Kashiraj Dahal in an interaction regarding registration campaign for national identity card organized today in Belbari municipality of Morang requested to participate in such a campaign as it was said that national identity card is very important.

He informed that the CDO Office collects details of nearly 700 people every day for different purposes, including for passport, recommendation, citizenship and national identity card.
