Kathmandu, June 18: Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Jaya Prakash Gachchhadar, the Chairperson of Gramthan Rural Municipality in Morang.
Nepali Congress Central Office Chief Secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel, issuing a condolence note on behalf of the party president Deuba, expressed his grief on the death on June 17 of the 56-year-old Gachchhadar.
President Deuba has extended his heartfelt condolences to the late Gachchhadar and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. He also, on behalf the party and his own, offered deep condolences to the grief-stricken family.
The NC stated that the late Gachchhadar has played an active role in building the party’s organization and in the Nepal’s democracy movement. It said the NC has lost an experienced leader in Gachchhadar’s demise.
