Bhimduttanagar : Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said he had strongly raised the Kalapani issue while he had been in the post.
Speaking at a programme in Kanchanpur today, the former Prime Minister accused the incumbent government of being unable to raise the border encroachment issues including of Lipulek, and Kalapani in an effective way.
“Kalapani belongs to Nepal,” he said, adding that he had been raising this issue time and again.
He claimed that the Mahakali Treaty clearly stated that the Mahakali River remains as the Nepal-India border and both countries shall have equal access to its water. —
