Baglung, Sept 30: The Dhaulagiri Hospital in Baglung district has introduced CT scan service. The CT scan service was launched in Baglung district for the first time with management of human resources and equipment in the beginning of the current fiscal year.
With the service in place, people of Baglung, Mustang, Myagdi and Parbat districts are the direct beneficiaries.
Gandaki Province government had allocated Rs 1 billion budget in the fiscal year 2079/80 for the same.
Further medical equipment were brought in the hospital as per province government’s plan to upgrade Dhaulagiri Hospital to 200-bed Sub-Provincial hospital.
Nowadays, the hospital is providing treatment to around 500 patients daily. Launching the CT scan service, Minister for Social Development and Health Minister of Gandaki Province government, Sushila Simkhada, expressed the belief that the province government was ready to provide quality medical service.
Minister Simkhada shared that Gandaki Province government was carrying out activities keeping hospitals of Gorkha and Baglung in priority.
