KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leaders Ananda Prasad Dhungana and Ramesh Rijal have been elected unopposed as central members of the Nepali Congress.
Dhungana and Rijal, who had filed their candidacies for the open category from Province No. 2, were elected unopposed.
According to the Election Committee, Dhungana and Rijal were unanimous after Jangilal Raya withdrew his candidature from this cluster.
Both Dhungana and Rijal are close to party president Sher Bahadur Deuba.
