Kathmandu, Oct 6: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered that 25 people who were arrested on the charge of smuggling 61 kilos of gold be kept in custody pending trial.
Today, the bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Mainali sent 25 people to prison and ordered Rukmina Subba to be released on bail of Rs 5 lakh.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police had recommended a case against 29 people on the charge of being involved in gold smuggling. The Public Prosecutor’s Office had filed a case against them in District Court.
