Kathmandu, Dec 6: An angioplasty surgery has been conducted on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha at Bansbari-based Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, a team of doctors including Dr Arun Maskey conducted the surgery on DPM Shrestha on last Tuesday night.
He got admitted in the Centre on last Tuesday after he felt little uneasiness in his heart. In the routine health check-up, it was reported that there was some blockage in the other artery of the heart.
It may be noted that DPM Shrestha was diagnosed with the acute myocardial infarction during his official visit to China in last October.
In the emergency coronary angiography test he had undergone, it showed a blockage in the obtuse marginal branch.
The Centre said that DPM Shrestha is being treated in the ICU at present and his health condition is normal and stable.
He will be admitted to the Centre for three to five days.
PM Dahal takes stock of DPM Shrestha’s health
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has inquired about the health condition of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha.
PM Dahal reached the Bansbari-based Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre a while ago and met the doctors’ team involved in treatment of DPM Shrestha and took stock of his health condition.
