Kavre, Dec 6: The upgrading of the Dhulikhel–Khawa section along the Araniko Highway in Kavrepalanchowk has gained momentum.
Following the signing of a contract with a new construction company last month, the previously stalled road-widening work has resumed. According to the Division Road Office, Bhaktapur, the contract has been awarded to C-NA-1 Kali JV with a completion deadline of 14 months.
Senior Divisional Engineer and Office Chief Suman Yogesh informed that a contract worth Rs 315.6 million, excluding VAT, has been signed for the project. He said that blacktopping will be completed in the expanded sections in the first phase by mid-April, with remaining works to follow gradually.
Road expansion activities, including extensive cutting in several stretches, have intensified. Travel along the highway has remained challenging for the past three years due to prolonged delays in construction. #nepal #araniko
