Sarlahi, Jan 31: A fire that engulfed a plastic bag factory at Bramhaistha of Ishworpur municipality-7 in Sarlahi district today morning destroyed properties worth over Rs 40 million.
The fire broke out due to short circuit at the Himalayan Poly Nepal reduced the plastic bag factory as well as adjacent houses to ashes, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Sarlahi.
SP Deepak Shrestha at the DPO, Sarlahi, shared that the fire completely destroyed Netra Bahadur Karki’s house while Nawal Kishore Sah’s house was partially destroyed.
The factory was run at the house of Ram Chabilal Shah on a lease. Factory proprietor Sah claimed that the fire gutted all equipments, readymade products and raw products in the factory worth around Rs 75 million.
However, the DPO, Sarlahi stated that the primary emulation of the damage is worth Rs 40 million.
It took security personnel, local residents and fire brigade from Hariban municipality and Malangwa municipality nearly two hours and half to put out the fire, it was said.
SP Shrestha shared that investigation into the incident was underway as they were collecting the details of the incident at present. #fire #nepal
