Five-point agreement on Bir Hospital, Agitation pulled back



KATHMANDU, Dec 05: After the five-point agreement, the employees of Bir Hospital have withdrawn their agitation.

The agreement was reached during talks between the agitating employees and officials of the National Academy of Medical Sciences Bir Hospital on Friday. Bir’s employees have been on strike for 46 days, raising issues such as not receiving the COVID allowance.

It has been agreed in the talks to form a committee consisting of the hospital administration and the representatives of the agitating employees to make arrangements for the proportional distribution of the allowances.

Similarly, it has been agreed to discuss the COVID Insurance Compensation, to provide the medicine purchase expenses of the employees for the Fiscal Year 2076/77 BS to the employees within seven, and provide allowances within 6 weeks for the extension of the services.
