FNCCI Chair Dhakal to collaborate on promoting oranges, coffee, and tourism

Syangja, Oct 16: President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has expressed his commitment to collaborate on possible plans and programs for promoting Syangja’s oranges, coffee, and tourism.

Speaking at an event organized by the Syangja District Chamber of Commerce, President Dhakal shared that a company with an investment of Rs 1 billion has already been established and working to promote Nepali enterpreneurs. He emphasized that such initiatives could send a positive message for domestic investment as well.

He said, “Businesspeople from various districts are looking for investment opportunities, and if these can be integrated, there won’t be any issue with capital.”

Dhakal also mentioned, “Currently, there is enough deposit in Nepali banks and financial institutions, and interest rates have significantly reduced. This is the time to send the message that investment opportunities exist within Nepal.”

He shared that over the past year and a half, they have continuously been running campaigns both domestically and internationally to promote investment in Nepal. He also highlighted that, through their efforts, the government has amended eight laws to create an investment-friendly environment in the country.

Regarding issues raised by the private sector, such as concerns over tax-related matters, Dhakal assured that they are persistently working to address these challenges.
