Former King Gyanendra Shah returned home

KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah has returned home. Shah had gone to India on a religious visit. Shah, who attended the Shaahi Snan (Royal Bath) of the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar, India, returned to Nepal on Sunday.

A special chariot was arranged for the former King Shah who reached India on April 8. Shah had gone to participate in the fair at the special invitation of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashananda Giri.

A large crowd gathered at the main entrance of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to welcome former King Gyanendra.
