Kathmandu, July 2: Geeta Keshari, author and former member secretary of the Nepal Academy, passed away today at the age of 86.
He was admitted to Om Hospital in Chabahil for treatment due to Alzheimer’s and heart disease.
Family sources have said that her funeral will be held today at Pashupati Aryaghat.
Keshari was the member secretary of the organization from 2061 BS to 2063 BS. He has published about a dozen novels and some short story collections.
She has authored a dozen novels and a few short story collections. Kesari’s works like ‘Saugat’, ‘Awaz’, ‘Mukti’, ‘Antim Nimto’, and ‘Bishwas’ have been published.
Former member-secretary of the Academy, Prof. Jagat Prasad Upadhyay, said that her passing has caused an irreplaceable loss in the field of Nepali fiction. #nepal #rss
