Kathmandu: Former Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) Kishore Bahadur Singh passed away on Thursday. He died during treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali. According to Badminton Association, he died due to heart attack.
From 2029 to 2034 BS, Singh, a 6-time national champion in Nepali badminton, was the Co-Chairman of the Nepal Gymnastics Association. He held the responsibility as Member-Secretary of National Sports Council from 2059 to 2063 BS.
Late Singh has survived a daughter and wife. It is said that he will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday.
The National Sports Council issued a condolence statement and said that Singh’s death has caused an irreparable loss to Nepali sports and has saddened the council’s family.
