Kathmandu, Dec 6: CPN (Unified Socialist)’s leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, who is currently in China, and Chinese Vice-Premier Ding Xuexian have held a meeting today.
The meeting was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China. During the meeting, former PM Khanal commended China’s progress in developmental efforts and economic aspect during its modernizations bid.
Chinese Deputy Premier Xuexiang asserted that China was in favor of multi-polarization, just and equitable world order, reiterated China’s commitment towards world peace, peaceful co-existence, development and prosperity.
Khanal had travelled to Guangzhou in China on last Saturday to participate in the ‘Understanding China’ conference organized by the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy, Chinese People’s Institute for Foreign Affairs and Guangzhou Provincial government.
The former PM, in his interview with the CGTN, China’s television network, had expressed his views on Nepal-China relations, Belt and Road Initiatives and the conference he attended.
Khanal will return home on December 7, said CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Deparment of Foreign Affairs’s Chief Shankar Khatiwada.
