Four killed in jeep accident in Dolakha

CHARIKOT: Four people have died in a jeep accident at Singati, Bigu Rural Municipaty-4 of Dolakha district. 17 people have been injured in the accident.

The jeep (Bagmati 01-023 Cha 7580) heading to Laduk from Singati met with an accident at around 10:30 last night.

The deceased have been identified as Binod KC, 35, Ajita Khatri, 45, Radha Khadka, 52, and Chandika Thapa, 24, of Bigu-3, ​​said Dolakha’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhesh Raj Rijal. They are all from Singati village.

Ten of the injured have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment last night. Others are undergoing treatment at Charikot and Dhulikhel Hospitals.

According to police, the jeep plunged nearly 150 meters down from the road. The accident site is 40 kilometers away from the district headquarters, Charikot. A rescue team from the district headquarter have been sent immediately to the accident site.
