Gen Z effect: JSP and LSP agree to party unification

Kathmandu, Dec 28: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal and the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) Nepal have reached an agreement to unify their parties.

The decision was made on Sunday evening during a joint meeting of senior leaders from both parties, including JSP Chair Upendra Yadav and LSP Chair Mahantha Thakur.

According to a joint statement signed by both party chairs, the decision to merge was taken after assessing and analyzing the country’s current political situation, with the objective of institutionalizing the federal democratic republican system.

The statement reads, “Taking into account the necessity of building a just society by strengthening the agenda of progressive change—including federalism, identity, proportional inclusion, and social justice—it has been decided to proceed with party unification between the Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal and the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nepal.” #nepal #genz #jsp
