Kathmandu, Sept 25: Nepali Congress (NC) Chief Whip and central committee member Bal Krishna Khand has asserted that the governance system implemented in China would not be acceptable for Nepal.

At a press meet organized by Press Union, Chitwan today, leader Khand blamed that the government was trying to bring Chinese politics in Nepal and warned that it would be fatal to the communists if they import the Chinese politics to the country.

Khand argued, “There is no other country in the world beside China where the Chinese governance system prevails.

There is a single party system in China which is never acceptable in the democracy.” Stating that the government was pressing hard to endorse the Media Bill to keep the media under its control, he said that the NC will not allow the Bill to be passed without considering adequate and necessary amendments on it.

“Nepali Congress is on the side of free press and should go to any length safeguard the democracy.”

According to him, the NC’s second round of nation-wide awakening campaign ended on a high note. The third round of campaign will kick off soon.

On a different note, he blamed that the government was not trying to diver all water to Tinau River from Kali Gandaki by creating the Kali Gandaki Diversion.
