Biratnagar, Dec 24: Finance Minister Rameswor Khanal said the government has been enabling environment for investment growth in trade and industry sector.
Inaugurating the ’10-day Birat Trade Expo-2025′ organized by Morang Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, he argued that the country would not prosper without cooperation from the private sector.
The minister informed that the tax service system office was established at Kerabari of Morang today to reduce the time and cost of the taxpayers.
Saying that the government is eager to address the problems surfaced in the import, Khanal claimed that revenue generation would go up if the entrepreneurs were brought to confidence.
Sharing that the country has incurred a total loss of Rs 84 billion during the Gen Z uprising, Minister Khanal urged the citizens to remain cautious to not allow recurrence of such incidents.
Minister Khanal asserted that the election announced by the government would be held on time while urging one and all not to cast doubt to that end.
Also speaking on the occasion, Koshi Province Minister for Tourism, Forest and Environment Sadananda Mandal highlighted the importance of augmenting tourism sector for creating national capital.
Likewise, Mayor of the Biratnagar Metropolitan City Nagesh Koirala said the BIrat Expo would help boost economic and entrepreneurship development in the country.
