Kathmandu, April 3: The government has decided to take ownership of the under construction Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Bharatpur, Chitwan and complete the construction works.
The Cabinet meeting held on Monday took this decision. The stadium, which was being built on the initiative of artists Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, had been stalled for a few years due to lack of funds.
They were requesting the government to take over the Rs 18 crore loan incurred during the construction of the stadium.
