Kathmandu, 23rd May – Govinda Bohara claimed the title at the 10th ADSoN Charity Golf Tournament, held on Saturday at Gokarna Forest Resort Golf Club. Playing off an 18 handicap, Bohara scored an impressive 43 stableford points to secure victory, finishing two points ahead of runner-up Indra Dhara Bista, who posted 41 points. Bista was tied with Nawang Pasang Sherpa on 41 points, but secured the runner-up trophy on countback after scoring 21 points on the back nine compared to Sherpa’s 17.
For his outstanding performance, Bohara was awarded a Kathmandu–Singapore–Kathmandu air ticket sponsored by Singapore Airlines.
Tenzing Tshiring won the Best Gross award with 38 gross points and also bagged the Longest Drive award. In the women’s category, Bipana Shrestha carded 36 points to clinch the title, while her nearest competitor, Astha Dulal, scored 34 points. Astha also won the lucky draw prize, receiving a Kathmandu–Singapore–Kathmandu air ticket sponsored by Singapore Airlines.
Among senior golfers (aged 60 and above), Sanjeev Chettri emerged victorious with 38 points. In the super senior category (aged 70 and above), Dr. Phauda Raj Thebe claimed the title with 29 points.
Pradip KC won the Closest to the Pin award, while Anjila Yonjan earned the Straightest Drive honor. Rabindra Tiwari received the Most Birdies award after recording four birdies and winning on countback.
The tournament, played over 18 holes under the stable ford format, attracted a field of 71 golfers.
