Govt should prioritize country, citizens’ problems: Lawmakers

Kathmandu, July 21: Nagarik Unmukti Party’s Whip Gangaram Chaudhary underlined that everyone should be serious to ensure feeling of change among people while effectively enforcing federal democratic system.

Participating in the deliberation on the proposal presented by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, seeking a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting today, parliamentarian Chaudhary pointed out the need that the government should work more responsibly to address the issues surrounding Kamaiya, impoverished, Dalit and indigenous communities.

According to him, his party held the viewpoint that the constitution should be amended. So, they were for in favor of PM Oli for the stable government aspired by the citizens.

Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party’s Prem Subal, however, blamed that they failed to deliver in favour of people as per their own commitments and agreements inked with various parties to form the government.

He stressed that the incumbent government should pay special attention to economic equality, social justice and peace. He clarified that he was not going to give vote of confidence to PM Oli who was appointed as the 45th Prime Minister of the country on July 12.

Rastriya Janamorcha’s Chitra Bahadur KC opined that all political parties should be responsible to addressing the problems facing citizens. The octogenarian leader said that his party was not giving vote of confidence to PM Oli.

Aam Janata Party’s Prabhu Shah viewed that the incumbent government should be serious towards resolving the existing problems in the country. He underscored the need for the major political parties to work towards ensuring political stability, peace, good-governance and prosperity.

Likewise, independent Member of Parliament Dr Amresh Kumar Singh spoke of the need for the incumbent government to usher country in economic prosperity while fulfilling aspirations of the people for change.

He argued that the government, which has confidence of general public, could not afford to be a failure. He was in favor of the trust motion presented by Head of the Government.

Yogendra Mandal asserted that the incumbent government should act responsibly to control corruption and promote good-governance in the country.

He suggested that the education, employment, increase in agriculture production among others should be top priorities for the incumbent government besides developing institutional system. #nepal #rss #HoR
