The hospital has five machines for dialysis services. An expert doctor and a nurse have been arranged in the hospital for dialysis services. A patient should undergo dialysis twice a week. It takes about five hours at a time.
The public health inspector of the hospital, Bom Aryal, informed that dialysis services can be provided to nine people a week in the hospital. Aryal says that if the manpower for dialysis can be increased, service can be provided in two or three shifts with the same material and maximum patients will benefit from it.
The government of Nepal has provided Rs 2,500 for dialysis once. Gulmi Hospital has not received this facility as it has not received permission for dialysis service.
Aryal says that after the successful treatment of Khanal, all the technical aspects of the hospital, including the dialysis equipment, have been proven to be in order, and now an official letter will come from the Department of Health.
