Khotang, Mar 10: The Halesi Tuwachung Municipality has officially unveiled its new logo, designed to represent the municipality’s historical, religious, and archaeological significance.
The logo was made public following its approval at the 15th municipal assembly. Former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, alongside lawmaker Saraswati Bajimaya and Mayor Bimala Rai, officially unveiled the logo on the occasion of the 115th International Women’s Day.
The municipality executive office had previously announced a public competition for logo design. Out of seven submissions, the design created by Santosh Dahal, a local resident of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-4, Badhare, was selected as the best, according to municipality spokesperson and Ward 7 Chair Kamal Giri.
The logo, which highlights the tri-religious significance of Halesi—a sacred site for Hindus, Buddhists, and Kirat followers—also includes mountain imagery, reflecting the municipality’s geographical landscape, Mayor Rai stated.
Moving forward, all elected representatives of the municipality will be required to wear the logo as part of their official identification. #halesi #nepal
