Kathmandu, Jan 16: The Embassy of Canada to Nepal, in collaboration with Humber Polytechnic (Canada), convened a high-level stakeholder consultation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Policy and Governance in Nepal.
The consultation was organized as part of the regional programme on Strengthening Governance and Regional Cooperation, supported by the Indo-Pacific Engagement Initiative (IPEI) of the Government of Canada.
The programme is being implemented in Nepal and some other South Asian countries with the objective of strengthening institutional capacity and advancing regional cooperation in AI governance, cybersecurity readiness, and responsible technology adoption.
During the event, Deputy Ambassador of Canada to Nepal Mark Allen stated that Canada has long recognized the potential of Artificial Intelligence to drive innovation, economic growth, and societal benefit. #nepal #rss
