Kathmandu, Dec 27: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has stressed that Gen Z youths must demonstrate responsibility and maturity across all key indicators of good governance.
While inaugurating the Public Announcement System (PAS) and token system at the Kathmandu District Administration Office on Friday, Minister Aryal urged Gen Z to act responsibly in promoting good governance. He identified human rights protection, corruption control, and transparency as the core pillars of good governance.
The Home Minister stated that the current government was formed on the foundation laid by the Gen Z movement, emphasizing that there is no alternative to strengthening and institutionalizing the achievements of the movement. He added that the transformation brought about by the Gen Z movement must now be translated into practice through consistent and effective implementation.
According to Minister Aryal, the new generation should rise to a level where it not only practices good governance but is also capable of guiding and training others in these principles.
Highlighting service delivery reforms, he said the introduction of the PAS system at the Kathmandu District Administration Office has established a new, transparent, and accountable relationship between citizens and civil servants.
On the occasion, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Ishwar Raj Paudel, expressed satisfaction at the launch of technology-driven and service-oriented facilities from the new office building.
Minister Aryal also noted that Friday marked the completion of 100 days of his tenure as Home Minister. He stated that the aspirations and rights of Gen Z have been addressed through more than 50 major milestones, with notable progress achieved in service reform and good governance initiatives. #nepal #genz
