Home Minister Lamichhane urges on improving service delivery

Kathmandu, March 20: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has instructed the home ministry employees to work according to the rights delegated by the law to serve the people in practice.

Giving instructions to the officers who are heading to their duty stations in different districts and agencies at a program held at the Ministry in Singha Durbar today, he also requested all to develop and implement immediate improvement plans to combat hooliganism, smuggling, revenue leakage and exploitation of natural resources, and work for enhancement of social harmony, disaster management, reduction of traffic accidents and other areas of service delivery.

Alerting all not to fall for undue pressure and influence of the political leadership, he requested them to be creative administrators and to respect the citizens and their rights.

The DPM also instructed the employees not to waste time in formal program and for the immigration staffers to come up with a plan to solve the problem and address the complaints of the service recipients.

It may be noted that on Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs transferred 22 employees including the Director General of Department of Immigration, Director at Immigration Office, Tribhuvan International Airport, Gautam Budha International Airport and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, and Under Secretary and Joint Secretary in some district administration offices. #Nepal
