KATHMANDU, Dec 24: NCP leader Puspa Kamal Dahal’s most confident and long time friend Ram Bahadur Thapa and Haribol Gajurel both ultimately left Dahal.

Both the leaders have decided to attend the Central Committee meeting of the Oli-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for Thursday.

Ram Bahadur Thapa holds one of the key ministry in the present Oli-government. He is serving as Minister of Home Affairs.

According to reports, it is a great setback to lose several prominent leaders for Prachand-Madhav faction.

Thapa and Haribol, who had not attended any group meeting before, also did not participate in any meeting. The Prachanda and Madhav Nepal group had been urging Thapa and Gajurel to join their group. But, finally, Thapa and Gajurel are moving towards Oli.

Earlier, Lekh Raj Bhatt, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Mani Thapa have joined the Oli faction.

Meanwhile, Prachanda-Madhav faction have also organized their Central Committee meeting on Thursday.
