Members of the House of Representatives have drawn attention of the government on various issues.

During special hour of today’s HoR meeting, Mohan Bahadur Basnet of the Nepali Congress objected to the suspension of tender process of motorable bridge, which was damaged by Melamchi flood around one and half year ago.

He drew the attention of the government that the activities of national pride project, Melamchi Drinking Water Project, might be affected for lack of construction of the bridge. There would be obstruction in the process of bringing water from Yangri and Larke rivulets of Sindhupalchowk if there is disruption in reconstruction of the damaged bridge.

Basnet demanded investigation into the letter written by Prem Acharya, who self-immolated, to resolve the problem of chemical fertilizer.
Saying many activities related to physical infrastructure were carried out in the past three years, Basanta Nembang of the CPN (UML) demanded to immediately forward the infrastructure projects as contractors have obstructed the infrastructure development activities in many places.
Similarly, Dr Chanda Karki of Rastriya Swatantra Party demanded to create the environment for the access of people to health posts.

Sher Bahadur Kunwar of CPN (Unified Socialist) shared that the local levels did not take initiative to find out the details of loses caused by earthquake in Sudurpaschim Province.

He also asked the government to provide relief to the victims immediately. Likewise, Badri Pandey of the Nepali Congress demanded the government to pay its attention immediately on relief, rescue and rehabilitation of those affected due to earthquake in Sudurpaschim Province.

He said people of Sudurpaschim Province have been compelled to stay outside their house in fear of earthquake even during snowfall. Dayal Bahadur Shahi of the CPN (UML) and Teju Lal Chaudhary also expressed their views on the occasion.RSS
