Kathmandu, July 10: The House of Representatives (HoR), the Lower House of Nepal, on Thursday unanimously endorsed amendments made by the National Assembly (NA) to four important bills.
The Lower House approved amendments to the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083, Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083, Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, and the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Institutes of Health Sciences, 2083.
The proposal seeking endorsement of amendments to the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083, tabled by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam on behalf of Prime Minister Balen Shah, was passed unanimously.
Similarly, the House unanimously approved amendments to the Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083, following a proposal presented by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle.
The proposal to endorse amendments to the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, tabled by Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal, was passed by a majority vote.
Likewise, lawmakers unanimously endorsed amendments to the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Institutes of Health Sciences, 2083, after Minister for Health and Food Safety Nisha Mehta presented the proposal on behalf of the government.
With the House’s endorsement, all four amended bills have completed the parliamentary approval process and will proceed to the next constitutional stage. #nepal
