House of Representatives meeting prorogued until May 14

Kathmandu, May 10: The House of Representatives meeting has been adjourned until May 14.

In the meeting held for the second time on Friday, the Nepali Congress raised slogans demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the cooperative fraud case of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

However, Speaker Devraj Dahal repeatedly requested opposition party MPs to proceed ahead.

In the meeting, Nepali Congress MPs raised slogans against the government demanding justice for the co-operative victims.

They have also warned that the House will not be allowed to function until a parliamentary inquiry committee is formed into the cooperative fraud of Deputy Prime Minister Lamichhane.
