Butwal, Aug 16: An unidentified group assaulted the private house of Bhumiswor Dahakal, chief whip of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) for State-5 State Assembly, Thursday night.

The unknown group had pelted three kerosene-filled bottles at the house of Chief Whip that caused damage to the back side of the government-owned vehicle (Lu 1 Pa 456), informed Rabin Raj Mainali, police inspector of Area Police Office, Saljhandi.

He further informed that the motorbike-borne unidentified group had attacked Dhakal’s house at around 2.30 am this morning. After having some serious illness, leader Dhakal has been admitted to Kathmandu-based Medicity Hospital for the past couples of days.

In the time of attack, Dhakal’s wife and parents were inside the house at Sainamaina-8 Ramapur Kalauni.

Dharma Raj Bhandari, Spokesperson of District Police Office, Rupandehi and Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP), informed that the unidentified group had attacked the house of leader Dhakal last night.
