‘I will stand tall against corruption’: Prime Minister



Kathmandu, July 5: Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he will stand tall in the ongoing fight against corruption.

Addressing the national gathering of the ANNFSU Revolutionary Council here today, he said that the corrupt have become frightened by the government’s recent actions. “Since assuming leadership of the government, I have determined myself to work firmly in the interest of the country and the people. Action has been taken against the corrupt. The file of Lalita Niwas has been reopened and more files are being opened.”

Stating that a good foundation of unity between the Maoist forces has been laid, the CPN-MC Chair said that he will move ahead for a wider communist unity. A party unity coordination committee will be formed to work for the unity, he added.

Stating that the present government is working as per the people’s aspiration, he said that a conspiracy is taking place to stop the government’s good deeds.

Expressing his determination to be devoted to social justice, good governance and prosperity, the Prime Minister said that the people will defeat the forces that are trying to make the government a failure.

“We are in the government with the strength of our history but some people are not being able to digest this,” Dahal said, “But, we will continue to stand by the country and the people. We are fully dedicated to social justice, good governance and prosperity.” RSS
