Indian Foreign Minister off to Delhi



Kathmandu, Jan 5: Upon completion of his official visit to Nepal in connection with the 7th Meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission, Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar left Kathmandu for Delhi today.

He was seen off by Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud and Foreign Secretary Ms. Sewa Lamsal at the TIA. Foreign Minister Jaishankar arrived Nepal on January 4 for a two-day Nepal visit. 

Foreign Minister Jaishankar co-chaired the 7th Meeting of the Nepal-India Joint Commission and witnessed four important agreements, including Implementation of High Impact Community Development Projects, long term power trade cooperation, Indian assistance program, among others.

He had courtesy calls with President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Likewise, he also met with political leaders including Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba,  CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal, and terai-based political leaders like Mahant Thakur, Upendra Yadav and CK Raut. #Nepal
