Indian Foreign Secretary Shringala visiting Nepal



Kathmandu: Dialogue between Nepal and India has resumed at the diplomatic level, finally. The neighbouring country’s dialogues halted after both Nepal and India issued new political maps incorporating Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura.

Recently, Samant Kumar Goyal, the chief of the Indian intelligence agency RAW, had visited Nepal as an envoy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Similarly Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli here in Kathmandu. President Bidya Devi Bhandari confered General Naravane with Nepal Army’s honorary general amidst a special program at President’s Office.

As soon as the visit of the high-ranking Indian officials to Nepal was over, Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla was about to visit Nepal.

According to sources, ministerial discussions will be held after the discussions between the foreign secretaries of the two countries.

Indian Foreign Secretary Shringla will visit Nepal from November 11 to 12. Sources said that the date of the ministerial visit will be fixed after that. According to Indian media, Shringala has already visited other countries in the SAARC region after assuming the post of Foreign Secretary.
